Full Fund Source List
In Forest Health Tracker, a fund source is defined as a sum of money given by a government or other organization for a particular purpose to improve forest health and resilience in Washington. Forest Health Tracker provides a common platform to display the connection of a unique fund source to the forest health projects they support. Fund sources include federal grants, state grants, and state appropriations.
Currently, this website only tracks funding received by Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for forest health work. DNR receives and manages many funding sources providing financial support to forest health projects across the state. One example is the Cooperative Forestry grants from US Forest Service State, Private, and Tribal Forestry program including Forest Health Monitoring, Landscape Scale Restoration, and Urban and Community Forestry programs. Notes on other funding that supports individual projects is detailed on the Project Detail Page in this system.
