The Olympic West priority landscape includes three HUC10 watersheds: Clearwater River, Queets River, and Raft River-Frontal Pacific Ocean. This area was selected as a priority landsacpe due to opportunities for active management and investment to improve forest health conditions including addressing and overabundance of mid-seral forest while improving conditions for high values that forsests in this landscape provide for timber supply, state recognized ecosystems of concern, and fish and wildlife habitat.  Diverse land ownership and partnerships in this priority landscape provide opportunities for collaboration and leveraging of resources.
