In 2022 Washington DNR completed two treatments using the Good Neighbor Authority in this project: Anne Scrub PCT and Annie HFR. Annie Scrub PCT was pre-commercial thinning and hand piling on 399 acres over 7 units. Annie HFR was hazardous fuels reduction involving the use of equipment to gather down woody material in preparation for mechanical piling. Mechanical piling involves the use of tracked equipment to pile new or old logging/thinning slash (woody debris on the ground) to accomplish fuels reduction and prepare site for prescribed burning.
