This project aimed to improve understory conditions in highest priority forest stands through treatment of invasive species. Priority areas include mature to older stands within the Dabob Bay Natural Area. Target species included holly and English ivy which are both introduced, shade-tolerant invasive plants that threaten to degrade the ecological health of forest stands within the DNR natural area and the Dabob-Tarboo basin. This effort focused on 450 acres on the eastern side of Dabob Bay, where known infestations occur within and adjacent to mature and older forest stands.
